Political parties, labor collectives and citizens registered in the country have the right to nominate candidates for deputies by collecting voter signatures.
Let us remind you that a citizen of Belarus who has reached the age of 21 and permanently resides in the Republic of Belarus can be nominated as a candidate for the House of Representatives. A citizen of Belarus who has reached the age of 18 and lives or works on the territory of the local Council of Deputies can be nominated as a candidate for deputy of the local Council of Deputies. Citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Belarus can also participate in the elections of deputies to local Councils of Deputies.
A memo for persons nominated as candidates for deputies, as well as forms of documents required for nomination, are published on the website of the Central Election Commission of Belarus.
Nomination of candidates for deputies will last until January 15, 2024.
